Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer (m/f/d) to coordinate and perform physical and electrical failure analyses for internal and external customers, and to lead cross-functional teams toward root-cause solutions.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, extensive knowledge of semiconductor technology, several years in FA or device engineering, and fluent English.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Several years of experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in Failure Analysis, Process Integration, or Device Engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor technology, microelectronics, or semiconductor physics.
• Experience with common failure analysis tools and methodologies is an advantage.

• Prepare professional failure analysis reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to identify root causes of failures and define sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Continuously develop and optimize failure analysis procedures, methodologies, and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with analysis turnaround times while maintaining high-quality failure analysis reports and KPI evaluations.
• Coordinate and oversee activities related to reliability monitoring and product reliability.
• Support development, process improvement, and quality enhancement projects through data-driven analytical insights.

Job Location:

Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH is a development and manufacturing facility for power transistors (power MOSFETs) with over 550 employees. Vishay is investing in a new semiconductor chip factory in Itzehoe, thereby expanding its production capacity in the future.

What you will bring along:

• Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor technology, microelectronics, or semiconductor physics
• Several years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in Failure Analysis, Process Integration, or Device Engineering
• Experience with common failure analysis tools and methodologies is an advantage
• Structured, analytical, and self-driven working style
• Strong quality awareness and a results-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in international and cross-functional teams
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken
