Job summary

IP Innovative Power GmbH in Berlin is seeking an Energy Supply Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day electricity and gas supply processes and ensure reliable service for customers.

You will act as the central operational contact between customers, grid operators, external service providers and internal teams, owning processes from onboarding to resolution and building scalable workflows as the portfolio grows.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in German energy supply operations, market communication or balancing-group operations.
• Strong understanding of German electricity and/or gas market processes, including registrations, deregistrations, supplier switching and metering-point administration.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills with experience processing large datasets and ensuring data quality across systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and ownership of customer relationships, coordinating multiple parties to completion.
• Hands-on experience automating operational workflows to handle growing volumes.
• Structured, proactive approach with attention to detail and clear communication in German and English.
• Experience with MaLo/MeLo, GPKE, GeLi Gas, WiM, ERP systems, Mieterstrom or decentralised energy supply would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end customer supply processes, including onboarding, offboarding, registrations, deregistrations, supplier changes and changes of operating company.
• Coordinate external partners handling market communication and supply administration, track progress and resolve rejected or outstanding processes.
• Manage customer queries concerning supply contracts, consumption data, invoices and advance payments, working closely with billing colleagues to ensure a smooth billing process.
• Maintain accurate customer, contract, metering and delivery-point master data.
• Coordinate operational processes with grid operators, metering providers, suppliers and other external service partners.
• Support operational balancing-group processes and coordinate with portfolio management and procurement where required.
• Document and improve recurring workflows, introduce consistent processes and support practical automation.
• Coordinate the operational onboarding of new internal supply arrangements and business models and decentralised energy assets.
• Track open cases, processing delays and recurring issues to improve service quality and reduce avoidable costs.

Job description

We are looking for an Energy Supply Operations Manager to manage our day-to-day electricity and gas supply processes and ensure reliable service for our customers.

As the central operational contact between customers, grid operators, external service providers and internal teams, you will take ownership of supply-related processes from onboarding through to resolution. You will ensure accurate data and timely execution of market processes, resolve operational exceptions and help us build scalable workflows as our customer and asset portfolio grows.

Your responsibilities

What you bring

• Strong stakeholder management skills and ownership of customer relationships. You can coordinate multiple parties, resolve issues independently and keep customers informed through to completion.
• Hands-on experience automating operational workflows and converting repetitive manual activities into reliable processes that support growing volumes.
• A structured, proactive approach, strong attention to detail and clear communication in German and English.
• Experience with MaLo/MeLo, GPKE, GeLi Gas, WiM, ERP systems, Mieterstrom or decentralised energy supply would be an advantage.

Scope of the role

The focus is operational ownership of customer supply and market processes, including coordination with external service providers and grid operators. You will work closely with colleagues responsible for procurement, portfolio management, technical assets and billing.
