Nash Technologies Germany GmbH is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/x) to design and implement high-performance software for next-generation semiconductor test solutions. You will work with system architects, hardware and application software engineers to deliver robust Linux-based driver and software modules.

Key responsibilities include developing C++ applications, device drivers, and HW/SW interfaces, with a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in Linux-based embedded software development, with Ethernet, TCP/IP, SPI, I2C and CAN.
• Strong object-oriented design and software architecture skills, with C++17 or newer.
• Solid knowledge of operating systems, device drivers, real-time concepts and HW/SW interaction.
• Experience debugging and performance analysis of embedded platforms.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in cross-functional and international teams.

Responsibilities

Job description

As an Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/x), you will play a key role in the development of next-generation semiconductor test solutions. Working closely with system architects, hardware engineers, application software engineers you will design and implement high-performance software that directly interacts with complex electronic systems.

• Build expertise in the area of Advantest V93000 SmartTestDigital Device Drivers and Embedded Software, as well as the underlying hardware architecture
• Develop high-performance embedded software and device drivers for Linux-based systems
• Design, implement and optimize C++ applications and hardware abstraction layers with a focus on reliability, performance and maintainability
• Work with industry-standard interfaces and protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, SPI, I²C, and CAN
• Analyze, integrate and troubleshoot hardware-software interactions on complex embedded platforms
• Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies and technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with application softwareand hardware engineering teams in an agile development environment

Must have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field
• Few years of professional experience in Linux-based embedded software development, with expertise in Ethernet, TCP/IP, SPI, I²C and CAN
• Profound knowledge of object-oriented design principles and software architecture, combined with strong programming skills in C++17 and later standards
• Solid understanding of operating systems, device drivers, real-time concepts and HW/SW interaction
• Experience with debugging and performance analysis of embedded platforms
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop sustainable solutions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international team

• Experience with semiconductor test equipment, industrial automation or measurement systems
