Zusammenfassung

ALTEN Consulting Services GmbH is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to develop Linux-based solutions for sophisticated control systems. You will design, implement drivers and interfaces and collaborate with software/hardware teams to improve testability and quality.

The role requires hands-on embedded development with C/C++, Python, and MBDes tools; knowledge of Linux RTOS and test automation is a plus, with strong English communication.

• develop state‑of‑the‑art embedded software solutions on Linux‑based platforms for sophisticated control systems
• design, plan and implement embedded solutions, including device drivers, communication interfaces, advanced control algorithms and state machines

• hold a Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field
• have gained hands‑on experience in embedded software development and combine strong analytical thinking with excellent problem‑solving skills and an innovative mindset
• have experience working with Linux real‑time operating systems, ideally including driver development and fieldbus protocols
• are proficient in C/C++ (C++17 or higher), Python, and model‑based development methods and tools such as Enterprise Architect or HCL RTist

• are confident communicating in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are an advantage
