Zusammenfassung

ALTEN in Hamburg seeks an experienced Aerospace Design/Verification Engineer to develop electrical seating solutions for commercial aircraft. You will draft and review documentation for design and certification, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards and supplier data integration.

Collaboration with regulatory authorities and OEM data systems is essential, with hands-on experience in Catia V5/V6, ENOVIA, and AutoCAD. Permanent employment with flexible collaboration across teams.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace etc.) or higher.
• Experience in Aerospace with a Design or Production Organization (EASA/FAA approved).
• Experience as a Design Review or Verification Engineer (DVE/DRE) with electrical discipline.
• Experience with aircraft interior modification programs, electrical seat integration, DO-160/DO-178C/DO-254 and System Safety Assessment.
• Navigate OEM data systems; experience with Catia V5/V6, ENOVIA, IVT or AutoCAD.

Aufgaben

• Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for aircraft seats.
• Review supplier data for integration approval of seats into the airframe (electrical drawings, diagrams, qualification data).
• Draft and review documentation for design and certification of seating products.
• Collaborate with Office of Airworthiness and regulatory authorities to ensure safe, compliant cabin modifications.
• Coordinate with the Type-Certificate holder to ensure seamless seat integration during and after delivery.
• Supervise supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance.

YOU…

• work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements and solutions for commercial aircraft passenger seats
• review data from our suppliers for integration approval of seats into the airframe from electrical point of view, including the review of seat electrical drawings, diagrams and equipment qualification data
• define, draft and review documentation for the design and certification of aircraft seating products
• collaborate closely with Office of Airworthiness and regulatory authorities to ensure the aircraft cabin is modified in a safe and compliant manner
• collaborate closely with the aircraft Type-Certificate holder to ensure seamless integration of seating products into the aircraft, at or following delivery
• supervise supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering) or higher degree in engineering
• have extensive experience in Aerospace industry within a Design or Production Organization (EASA or FAA approved)
• have experience as a Design Review or Verification Engineer (DVE/DRE) with terms of approval relevant to the electrical discipline
• can demonstrate experience with aircraft interior modification programs especially on the electrical aspect of seat integration, with a high level of attention to detail and have knowledge and experience working with RTCA DO-160, RTCA DO-178C, RTCA DO-254-and System Safety Assessment
• have the necessary knowledge in navigating OEM data systems for specifications and standards and have worked with tools like Catia V5 / V6, ENOVIA, IVT or AutoCAD
