ALTEN Consulting Services GmbH is seeking an Electrical Engineer for novel propulsion design and testing. You will conduct pre-sizing, architectural development for hybrid/electric propulsion components, and perform trade-off analyses to optimize weight, performance, and integration.

You will manage interfaces across subsystems and engage with suppliers to ensure aligned goals. The role requires a university degree in electrical engineering or related discipline, experience in design

• Experience in design engineering, electrics and systems testing.
• Experience with VV processes and test management.
• Knowledge of MATLAB, FlexPro, Google Workspace, Python.
• Highly proficient in English.

Aufgaben

• Conduct pre-sizing and architectural development for hybrid/electric propulsion components.
• Perform trade-off analyses on concepts to evaluate weight, performance and integration.
• Manage interfaces across subsystems including electrical networks and harness routing.
• Define electrical system needs ensuring technical consistency throughout development and integration.
• Engage with suppliers to discuss and evaluate technical solutions.
• Perform test bench development and design for electrical cabinets and power electronics support systems.
• Define, set up and perform data analytics tasks for engineering and design offices.

Electrical Engineer for novel propulsion design and testing (all gender)

Make it happen

• conduct pre-sizing and architectural development for hybrid/electric propulsion components (eMotors, batteries, power electronics) in accordance with the latest technology standards
• perform trade-off analyses on diverse concepts to evaluate and optimize key factors, including system weight, performance, and overall integration efficiency
• manage and harmonize interfaces across subsystems, including the design of electrical networks, Low Voltage, and High Voltage harness routing, to ensure seamless compatibility with surrounding systems
• define the specific needs for the electrical systems, ensuring technical consistency throughout the development and integration process
• engage with suppliers to discuss and evaluate technical solutions, ensuring alignment with project goals and standardized integration requirements
• perform test bench development and detailed design, specifically to design electrical cabinets and power electronics support systems
• define, setup and routinely perform data analytics tasks to extract valuable insights for engineering and design office customers
