Job summary
Quest Global is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial power distribution and electrotechnical equipment engineering. You will engage from design through commissioning, coordinating internal teams and external suppliers.
The role requires knowledge of MV/LV distribution, equipment specification, and adherence to IEC/VDE standards in an international project environment. German and English proficiency are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, power distribution, or industrial power systems.
- Experience with MV and LV electrical distribution systems.
- Experience in equipment specification, technical evaluation, and supplier coordination.
Responsibilities
- Support design, sizing, and selection of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, and diesel generator systems.
- Prepare and review specifications, datasheets, and interface descriptions per IEC/VDE standards.
- Coordinate procurement and order processing of electrical equipment for projects.
- Interface between internal teams, procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors from order to commissioning.
- Support QA activities, FAT tests, documentation reviews, and project scheduling.
- Assist in resolving technical issues and clarifications during execution.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and handover packages.
- Support commissioning activities and ensure compliance with safety and customer requirements.

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer with experience in industrial power distribution systems and electrotechnical equipment engineering. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of medium-voltage and low-voltage systems, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate should have hands‑on experience in electrical design, equipment specification, procurement support, and commissioning activities within industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.
- Support the design, sizing, and selection of electrical equipment, including:
- Medium-voltage (MV) switchgear
- Low-voltage (LV) switchgear
- Power transformers
- Diesel generator systems
- Battery and DC systems
- Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, and interface descriptions in accordance with customer requirements and applicable IEC/VDE standards.
- Coordinate the procurement and order processing of electrical equipment and ensure proper integration into the overall project scope.
- Act as a technical interface between internal engineering teams, procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors from order placement through commissioning.
- Support quality assurance activities, factory acceptance tests (FAT), documentation reviews, and project schedule tracking.
- Assist in resolving technical issues, non‑conformities, and engineering clarifications during project execution.
- Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation, technical reports, equipment manuals, and handover packages.
- Support commissioning activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and customer requirements.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a certified Electrical Technician/Master Technician qualification with relevant industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, power distribution, or industrial power systems.

- Experience with SIMARIS Design is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar electrical design tools is an advantage.
