Tufts Medicine is seeking an EEG Technologist to provide medical and clinical support, perform standard and evoked potential EEG recordings, and assist in research projects. The role includes training EEG students and ensuring high-quality diagnostic data.
The candidate should have an EEG course, ABRET certification, BLS, and at least one year of EEG experience. This is a full-time position with emphasis on patient care in a hands-on setting.
This role focuses on providing medical and clinical support services to patients. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Neurology related duties: Monitors the functional integrity of certain neural structures (e.g., nerves, spinal cord and parts of the brain) by performing diagnostic testing. An organizational related support or service (administrative or clerical) role or a role that focuses on support of daily business activities (e.g., technical, clinical, non-clinical) operating in a "hands on" environment. The majority of time is spent in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision. An experienced level role that requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Works under moderate supervision, problems are typically of a routine nature, but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures, and communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
This position obtains standard and special procedure EEG recordings including Evoked Potential recordings. Assists in training EEG students and participates in research projects.
