Director Product Compliance

Your seat to fill :

• Responsible for the pre-regulation and international standardization processes in the field of childcare and juvenile products
• Represent the CYBEX Group in relevant international technical committees
• Lead the global competence center for material and chemical compliance; ensure worldwide material conformity of all brand products
• Manage all product compliance activities in case of incidents, including direct interaction with authorities and support during global safety investigations
• Monitor of global product recalls (e.g., RAPEX, CCPC, CPSC) and deriving preventive measures for CYBEX
• Act as the EMEA expert for regulatory product compliance and advising Engineering, Design, Product Management, Legal, Quality, and Sales
• Conduct safety and risk assessments for new product development projects
• Ensure production conformity of child restraint systems according to UN R, including audit support in Germany and China
• Implement and maintain the BSCI corporate social accountability program
• Collaborate closely with compliance and quality teams in Europe, Asia, and North America
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budget planning for the Product Compliance function

• Degree in Engineering or related scientific field or Lawyer with focus product liability
• Extensive professional experience in regulatory affairs, product compliance, or product safety
• Experience in the consumer goods sector, ideally in the childcare or juvenile industry
• Advantageous : Experience working with international testing laboratories (e.g., TÜV, Intertek)
• Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations, risk assessments, RAPEX procedures, and technical documentation
• Strategic and analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong assertiveness, excellent negotiation skills, and a high degree of integrity and accountability
• Proven leadership skills and confidence in working with authorities and external partners
• Fluent in German and English
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
