Responsibilities

• you lead the global development and optimization of Pleating technologies, ensuring efficient, lean and quality- as well as HSE-compliant production processes.
• you drive international process development projects, standardization, engineering changes, and global rollouts.
• you shape the Technology Roadmap, manage CAPEX, select and qualify suppliers, and implement cutting-edge manufacturing solutions.
• you provide leadership to local process engineers, developing technical expertise and fostering talent worldwide.
• you coordinate the global Subject Matter Expert Platform, promoting knowledge exchange and best practices.
• you support plants with operational challenges and efficiency initiatives, including digitalization and smart automation.
• you identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies to maintain Freudenberg’s technological edge.

Qualifications

• university degree in mechanical, process, textile engineering or comparable; technical apprenticeship is a plus.
• strong hands-on experience in pleating technologies with a track record of leading international projects.
• practical operations experience in filter components or comparable manufacturing environments.
• profound technical expertise, ability to create requirement specifications, and structured project management skills.
• experience in digitalization, industry 4.0, or ai.
• hands-on, results-oriented, and pragmatic with deep awareness of quality and hse requirements to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• excellent intercultural communication skills in english to work with international, cross-functional teams, and willingness to travel and work abroad.
