Vinted is seeking a Director of Product Design for Frontend Technologies in Berlin. You will set the visual strategy, elevate global UI quality, and balance velocity with excellent end-user experience.

You’ll lead design infrastructure and frontend technology at scale, coach managers and ICs, drive AI-enabled frontend initiatives, and collaborate with Engineering & Data Science to empower tens of millions of members across Europe.

Information about the position

As the Director of Product Design for the Frontend Technologies Domain, you will establish the foundation that enables high-quality experiences across all aspects of Vinted user experience. Your mandate is to increase the quality of the global UI for tens of millions of members. You will share accountability over domain’s success with your Engineering & Data Science counterparts, building foundational technical capabilities to balance developer velocity with an exceptional end‑user experience.

In this position, you’ll

• Increase frontend delivery efficiency & quality (AI-powered software development)
• Increase internal tool quality and delivery efficiency
• Ensure that our services comply with accessibility regulations
• Increase impactfulness and quality of Vinted UI
• Maintain a high performing and engaged team, make timely, high-quality decisions concerning priority setting and resource allocation.

About you

• An exceptional level of craft leadership, holding a consistently high bar for end-to-end quality and autonomously setting the product's visual strategy
• Proven experience leading design infrastructure, design systems, and frontend technologies at scale
• Track record of leading organizational change, comfortably adapting team structures and processes to meet evolving business needs
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple teams or a domain, including coaching managers and senior individual contributors
• Are an excellent communicator, capable of articulating complex design and technical trade-offs to cross‑functional stakeholders
• Bonus points for technical fluency and experience driving AI‑enablement in frontend development and design process.

Workation Policy

Better balance holidays with workdays by working remotely! Up to 90 days per year in the EU, of these, 21 days can be spent globally. For non‑EU citizens, it's 21 days worldwide. This can be combined with time off for vacation or personal time.

Each year, you’ll be given a learning budget (starting at €3,000), and a total of up to 10 working days over a 2-year period to support your personal and professional development.
