Scope Ratings GmbH is seeking a Director Corporate Ratings with strong analytical thinking to take part in and lead credit rating committees for corporate ratings. You will analyze complex non-financial corporates, develop methodologies, and write insightful research.

Qualifikationen

  • Master's degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics or equivalent.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in financial services with credit rating exposure.
  • Experience with high-yield issuers and complex financial structures is a plus.
  • Proficient in English; additional European languages are a plus.

  • Perform analysis and conduct credit research on a diversified portfolio of corporate credits.
  • Monitor existing ratings and recommend reviews or changes as needed.
  • Present to and participate in rating committees and client meetings.
  • Develop and maintain credit rating methodologies and thought leadership research.
  • Engage with investors, issuers and arrangers and communicate Scope's analytical approach.

Jobbeschreibung

Scope Ratings is looking for a Director Corporate Ratings with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. You will take part to and lead in complete autonomy credit rating committee for the assignment and monitoring of corporate ratings. In this context, you will analyse complex non-financial corporates, develop and maintain credit rating methodologies and write insightful credit research. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to lead operational review visits and take part in meetings with investors, issuers and arrangers.

Duties & responsibilities
  • Perform analysis and conduct credit research on a diversified portfolio of Corporate credits on a broad range of high yield and Investment Grade Corporates.
  • Monitor existing ratings and if necessary, recommend reviews and changes on a timely basis
  • Present to and participate in rating committees
  • Act as communication point-of-contact between Scope Ratings and customers and interact with senior executives (CFOs, CEOs, Treasurers, Investor Relations)
  • Conduct discussions with clients and investors, as well as giving presentations, explanations and briefings at a highly professional level
  • Produce high-quality, insightful and forward-looking research and analytical comments on a timely basis
  • Act as a representative for Scope towards media
  • Develop and maintain credit rating methodologies
  • Engage in investor, issuer and arranger outreach, presenting and explaining Scope’s analytical approach
  • Work closely with other Corporates team members, staff and management in Scope Ratings
  • Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in the financial industry (e.g. a large rating agency, an investment fund or investment bank), that reflects analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of non-financial corporates.
  • Experience in analysing high-yield issuers with complex financial structures is a plus
  • High familiarity and relevant experience with European financial markets
  • Master's degree in finance, banking, economics, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent qualification, CFA charter is a plus
  • Willingness to take responsibility with an entrepreneurial attitude. Accountable and reliable person of the highest integrity.
  • Proven record of conducting and writing thought-leading insightful research
  • Strong team player, confident and professional appearance and high social and communication skills
  • Multi-cultural, collaborative, self-starter, versatile, inquisitive and detail-oriented personality
  • Ability to meet deadlines and motivate others to do the same
  • Able and ready to travel
  • Flexibility in accepting tasks and duties and carrying them out as directed
  • Extensive sector knowledge is a plus
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills in English is a must. Any other European language would be a plus.

The compensation range disclosed may encompass multiple title levels (Scope internal levels of seniority). Your actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to your individual experience, education, and seniority, and the final salary will be determined during the interview and evaluation process.

Pay Band: Director - Corporates

Minimum: 106,000.00 EUR

Maximum: 146,000.00 EUR
