Job summary

Noxtua SE in Berlin is building Europe’s sovereign Legal AI and seeks a DevOps Engineer to run and improve our cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll work with our AI and development teams to keep systems reliable, secure, and scalable.

You’ll report to the Lead DevOps Engineer and contribute to security, monitoring, and compliant operations across our stack, with a strong focus on automation and self-service tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Strong Linux, Bash, Python skills and networking fundamentals.
• Experience building and operating cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform/Ansible; CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Run and improve our infrastructure: reliability, security, cost.
• Automate with Terraform and Ansible; reduce repetitive work.
• Ship faster: developer-focused CI/CD with GitLab/GitHub Actions.
• Observe: set up monitoring, logging and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Support AI workloads: provision machines and environments for models.
• Foster self-service infrastructure for all initiatives.
• Security and compliance: keep audit readiness for C5, TISAX, ISO 27001.

Your team

At Noxtua, we're building Europe's Legal AI, and our DevOps team keeps it running: secure, observable, and certified to the standards legal professionals and public-sector customers expect (BSI C5, TISAX, ISO 27001). As a DevOps Engineer, you'll join a team of DevOps engineers and work hands‑on across our cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines and the machines that run our AI workloads. You'll work closely with our development teams and our AI team, and your work will directly shape how fast and how reliably we ship.
You'll report to ourLead DevOps Engineer, who leads the DevOps team and sets how we build and run our infrastructure.The DevOps team is part of the Tech team led by Simon Joecks, Chief Technology Officer at Noxtua. With more than 15 years of experience in software development, including as Lead Software Engineer at HERE Technologies and as a research fellow at the Technical University of Berlin, Simon is an advocate for product‑driven development that solves real‑life problems.

About you

• You have3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineeringand have run production systems yourself.

• You are at home inLinux, automate withBashandPython, and understandnetworking fundamentalssuch as DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.

• You have built and operatedcloud infrastructure, ideally onAWS; experience withOpen Telekom Cloudor other European / sovereign clouds is a plus.

• You manage infrastructure as code withTerraformandAnsible, and you have builtCI/CD pipelines, ideally withGitHub Actions or similar

• You knowDockerandDocker Composewell (Kubernetesis a must) and have set upmonitoring andalerting withtools such asPrometheusandGrafana.

• You speakfluent English; German is a plus.

Your responsibilities

• Run and improve our infrastructure: operate and optimise Noxtua's cloud infrastructure for reliability, security and cost, and document what you build.

• Automate: build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible, and script away repetitive operational work.

• Ship faster: develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, together with our development teams.

• Observe: set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting so we find problems before our customers do.

• Support AI workloads: work with our AI team to provision and manage the machines and environments that run our models.

• Focus ona self-service infrastructure that allows our different initiatives to thrive and move fast.

• Security and compliance: help keep our infrastructure audit‑ready for BSI C5, TISAX and ISO 27001, and apply security best practices day to day.
