Zusammenfassung

Liebherr-Digital Development Center GmbH in Ulm develops digital solutions for the entire Liebherr Group. Our team designs and operates device management tools and IoT infrastructure for a global fleet of machines.

You will implement CI/CD automation, manage deployments with Kubernetes and Docker, and contribute to secure, scalable software across diverse platforms. Fluent English is required and you will work in an international environment.

Qualifikationen

• End-to-end understanding of modern connectivity/IoT systems (device & cloud backends)
• Experience in creating and operating containers and deployments (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
• Automation/orchestration experience (Ansible, Terraform) and building pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of network/encryption protocols; proficient in Python, Go, Rust or similar
• Knowledge/building embedded Linux systems (Yocto) is a plus
• Interest in software architecture principles and AI-based development practices
• Fluent in speaking, understanding and writing English

Responsibilities

• Conceptual design, development and operation of the device management tools & infrastructure (Provisioning, Remote Update, Logging, Analysis, …) for our large-scale global connected devices & machines fleet
• Automate CI/CD, build, test, and deployment processes to ensure an efficient and reliable development environment
• Manage and monitor the device fleet, including configuration management, firmware updates, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and develop solutions that optimize the development process and enhance the quality of our machines
• Identify and implement best practices in DevOps and IoT development
• Evaluation and prototyping of the latest tools and trends in software development
• Enforce and implement high-class security concepts in systems and products
• Support system integration and test in an agile team by close cooperation with other developers & testers

Qualifications

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. Computer Science or comparable
• End to End understanding of modern Connectivity/IoT systems (device & cloud-backends)
• Creation and operation of containers and deployments (e.g. kubernetes, docker, helm charts)
• Experience in automation and orchestration (e.g. Ansible and Terraform), as well as strong knowledge of configuring and managing build pipelines, preferably using tools such as GitHub Actions or similar
• Sound knowledge of various network and encryption protocols and standards, combined with proficiency in programming and scripting, such as Python, Golang, Rust or similar languagesKnowledge in configuring & building embedded Linux systems (Yocto, …) is a plus
• Knowledge & interest in the latest software architecture principles and AI-based development practices
• Ability to speak, understand and write English fluently
