K-tronik GmbH is seeking a Development Engineer (m/f/x) in high-frequency technology for a full-time position. You will work on cutting-edge microwave components and systems and collaborate closely with RPG and R&S teams.

The role requires a strong background in RF design, CAE tools, and independent project execution, with opportunities for professional growth and hands-on testing and validation.

Qualifikationen

• Design and development of microwave components and systems for mmWave measurement technology and remote weather sensing in various environments.
• Conceptualization and optimization of circuit designs using simulation tools (MWO, CST, HFSS, ADS).
• Review and validation of assemblies through commissioning, testing and metrological verification to ensure specifications.
• Independently implementing customer-specific projects in measurement technology.

Tasks

• Design and development of microwave components and systems for mmWave measurement technology and remote weather sensing in various environments, ranging from ground-based applications to space missions
• Conceptualization and optimization of circuit designs using simulation tools such as AWR, MWO, CST, and HFSS
• Review and validation of assemblies through commissioning, testing, and metrological verification to ensure compliance with specifications
• Independently implementing customer-specific projects in the field of measurement technology
• Your responsibilities range from concept development, technology selection, circuit design, MMIC characterization, and integration to documentation, test planning, and manufacturing qualification
• You will work closely with the manufacturing and technology development teams at RPG and R&S and serve as the point of contact for microwave circuit technology, including related physical and technological issues

Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on high-frequency technology, or relevant professional experience and practical expertise in the field of high-frequency measurement technology
• Proficiency in CAE tools such as Microwave-Office/Studio, CST, HFSS, or ADS
• Very good knowledge of analog RF circuit design
• Programming skills (e.g., Microsoft Visual Studio, LabVIEW) are preferred
• An independent and goal-oriented work style combined with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a team, creativity, and strong communication skills
• Very good written and spoken English skills
