Job summary

persona service AG & Co. KG seeks a mechanical engineer to manage customer order design in plant and mechanical engineering. You will drive projects from initial concept to series production, create drawings, parts lists and assembly instructions, and define technical requirements with Purchasing.

Collaboration with Development, Production and Sales is key, along with documenting project data. The role requires SolidWorks expertise, ERP knowledge, and fluent German with good English; experience

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering or a comparable technical subject.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software, especially SolidWorks, and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, welding technology and vessel construction.
• Experience designing complex components in carbon steel and stainless steel sheet metal constructions.
• Initial professional experience in exhaust air purification and filter technology is an advantage.
• Experience in project management and execution.
• Strong team player with very good German and good English skills.

Job Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the technical management of customer orders, including the design of components and assemblies in plant and mechanical engineering.
• You will independently manage projects from the initial concept through to series production.
• You will draw up drawings, parts lists and assembly instructions in accordance with the relevant technical requirements.
• In consultation with Purchasing and suppliers, you will specify the technical requirements for procured parts.
• You will work closely with related departments such as Development, Production and Sales.
• You will document and prepare project information and communicate this to the relevant departments.
• For specific requirements, you will develop customised solutions.
• When designing complex components, you will take into account standard steel and stainless steel sheet metal constructions.
• You will confidently utilise 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and ERP systems to carry out your design tasks.
• You will incorporate manufacturing processes, welding technology and vessel construction into the design of your components.
• Last but not least, you will take on initial project management responsibilities as part of order processing

Requirements

• You have a degree in a technical subject such as mechanical engineering, process engineering or a comparable discipline
• You are proficient in using 3D CAD software, in particular SolidWorks, as well as ERP systems
• You also have knowledge of manufacturing processes, welding technology and vessel construction
• You have experience in the design of complex components in the field of carbon steel and stainless steel sheet metal constructions
• Initial professional experience in exhaust air purification and filter technology is an advantage
• You have some experience in project management and execution
• You are a strong team player
