We are seeking a Design Engineer 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is required.
Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, information systems, engineering science, engineering management, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Two or more years of relevant experience with physical security systems, related IT solutions, design, integration, deployment, or sustainment.
Practical experience in electronic security system design, system integration, or both, with the interest and ability to develop skills in the other area.
Ability to interpret technical requirements and specifications and apply them to assigned work.
Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
Experience with one or more electronic security platforms or product families, such as C CURE, Genetec, Lenel, Milestone, HID, or Axis. Experience with every listed platform is not expected.
AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable design and modeling experience.
Experience configuring servers, workstations, networks, or applications that support electronic security systems.
Experience creating technical drawings, documentation, test records, or commissioning records.
Clear written communication and the ability to explain technical work to teammates and customers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
