As a Debt Management Analyst Senior, you'll support complex financing activities and oversee the ongoing compliance and reporting of a significant debt portfolio. You'll contribute to taxable and tax-exempt debt issuance, financing negotiations, and the preparation of materials for senior leadership. This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity with a Monday--Friday schedule and no weekend or holiday work.

Accountabilities:

  • Support financing activities and the issuance of taxable and tax-exempt debt, including requests for proposals, negotiations, marketing materials, and other transaction documentation.
  • Monitor compliance across outstanding debt obligations, including costs of issuance, use of proceeds, private business use, IRS reporting requirements, bond records, debt covenants, and required stakeholder reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute quarterly and annual debt compliance packages and filings while maintaining accurate and complete supporting documentation.
  • Review and approve invoices related to debt service payments and other financing and Treasury-related fees.
  • Prepare monthly debt tracking reports covering interest rates, interest expense, financing costs, and budget variances.
  • Develop forecasts and executive-level presentations summarizing debt performance, financing activity, and key trends for the Treasurer and Board.
  • Conduct lease-versus-buy analyses for real property and equipment proposals and assess the financial implications of alternative financing strategies.
  • Prepare term sheets and financial analyses related to intercompany loans and joint venture financing arrangements.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and operational controls covering debt, derivatives, leasing, and related compliance activities.
  • Reconcile information across multiple data sources and ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete, and suitable for leadership review.
  • Interpret, analyze, and edit legal and financial agreements, including financing agreements and swap documentation.
  • Manage projects and processes effectively to meet critical financing, compliance, and reporting deadlines.
Requirements

  • Understanding of credit agreements, debt covenants, tax compliance monitoring, and related reporting requirements.
  • Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and develop actionable conclusions.
  • Advanced project management capabilities and the ability to independently drive processes against critical deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex financial information clearly for senior leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to reconcile information across multiple sources while producing reports that require minimal review.
