Jobtailor in Frankfurt is seeking an experienced database platform engineer to design, implement and operate scalable PostgreSQL or Oracle environments for data and analytics workloads.

You will lead migrations to cloud and implement IaC/CI/CD pipelines, reinforcing observability, reliability and governance across teams in a Database as a Service model.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Deep, several years of experience in PostgreSQL or Oracle platform engineering and advanced database architectures.
• Strong understanding of query planning, index strategies, partitioning, replication, and high-availability setups.
• Strong skills in automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible) and experience with GitOps and CI/CD approaches for databases.
• Willingness to travel for project-related business trips and fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.

• Strong skills in automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible) and experience with GitOps and CI/CD approaches for databases
