Publicis Sapient in Germany seeks a Senior Manager Data Engineer to lead a team delivering scalable data platforms and products. You will shape data architectures, collaborate with data scientists, and ensure robust data flows across enterprise systems.

The role requires hands-on ETL/ELT, cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP), and strong SQL. You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and drive governance while enabling rapid delivery of analytics capabilities for clients.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT design and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of big data ecosystems (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Flink).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data tools (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and data partitioning strategies.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Data Factory) is a plus.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and test management basics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong teamwork, communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in German, both spoken and written.
