Your Role

As a Data Engineer with a focus on AI and Snowflake, you will design, implement, and operate data products that enable advanced analytics and AI‑driven use cases across Heraeus. Acting as a technical expert and internal consultant, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and AI engineers to translate business needs into scalable, high‑quality data products on Snowflake.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data products on Snowflake from concept to production.
• Build and operate scalable Snowflake‑based data pipelines for analytics and AI use cases.
• Develop and optimise data models and transformations using SQL, Snowflake features, and ELT frameworks.
• Act as a consulting partner for business units, translating requirements into data product designs.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and AI engineers across domains.
• Ensure data quality, performance, security, and compliance in line with governance standards.
• Support the full lifecycle of data products, including monitoring, optimisation, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to data architecture standards, best practices, and documentation.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a comparable qualification.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Snowflake, ideally in building data products.
• Strong skills in SQL and Python; experience with Coalesce or similar tools is a plus.
• Experience in consultative roles with close interaction with business stakeholders.
• Experience in Project Management.
• Ability to structure requirements and communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
• Structured, ownership‑driven, and solution‑oriented working style.
• Very good English skills; German is an advantage.
