Bull, through its science + computing AG division, seeks an experienced data engineering lead to oversee delivery streams on Python/SQL projects across cloud environments in Germany.

You will shape architectures, guide teams, perform ETL/ELT design, and engage with customers in German and English, contributing to proposals and showcasing strong consulting and presentation skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional experience in the field.
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience providing professional leadership to delivery teams.
• Experience in AI, ML, DWH, BI, Data Engineering, or related fields.
• Databricks or comparable data platform certification, or an equivalent cloud certification.
• Strong consulting and presentation skills; able to persuade in unfamiliar environments.
• Enjoys teamwork and independently developing new topics; Team-oriented, entrepreneurial, self-reliant, and motivated.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills in German (native) and English.
• Nice to have: SAP data landscapes and Databricks migrations.

Aufgaben

• Ensure system and data architecture meet functionality and performance requirements.
• Design, implement, test, and advise on solutions.
• Develop automated data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, particularly on Databricks.

• Transfer knowledge, coach, and train customers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for complete solutions.
• Select suitable delivery models.
• Identify, assess, and implement optimization and business opportunities, including selected sales activities with the sales team.
• Build and maintain internal and customer networks, developing senior-level customer relationships.
• Qualify tenders from a technical perspective, analyze customer requirements, assess feasibility, and contribute to proposals.
• Design solutions for proposals and prepare effort estimates and calculation bases.
• Conduct customer workshops.
