We are on the lookout for a Data Engineer II, FinOps to join the Tech Foundations Team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. This is a 12 month maternity cover.
As a member of the Tech Foundations Team, you’ll support the company’s rapid innovation and growth. You’ll work on foundational systems that enable faster feature development, security, reliability and efficiency across our global engineering community. Every enhancement you make will contribute to our teams' ability to build, scale, and deliver quality features efficiently — ultimately impacting millions of users worldwide.
The FinOps and Tech Metrics team is delivering data pipelines, visualization solutions and organisational capabilities for global technology efficiency impact in the the company Group. We drive several efficiency KPIs and lead group-wide initiatives to ensure the efficient management of cloud and AI resources, leading to optimized usage and cost, high business value and engineering efficiency.
We have a unique data engineering position to offer that does not present itself frequently. This role offers growth in two highly sought-after disciplines in parallel: data engineering and cloud financial management (FinOps and tokenomics). You will be working closely together with data engineers and FinOps practitioners in our great team in a multi-provider environment.
Your key roles and responsibilities will be:
The output of your work will be used by hundreds to thousands of engineers as well as all levels of management in the DH Group to help them make the right decisions and tradeoffs, as well as help them optimize their workloads and spending.
