Eraneos is seeking a data engineer to join its cloud and data engineering team in Germany. You will own data projects end to end, design architectures for batch and streaming workloads, and build scalable Python ETL pipelines. The role requires strong Kubernetes/Docker skills and experience with modern data stacks.

With hybrid work, you’ll collaborate with an international team, travel to clients when needed, and contribute to production-grade software in a management consultancy setting.

Qualifikationen

• German language skills at C1 level.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud hyperscaler (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience building production-grade software.
• Python development with idiomatic and well-tested code.
• Performance tuning of relational databases (indexing/sharding/partitioning).
• Experience with data workflow orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster/Prefect).
• Experience with large-scale data processing stacks (Spark, Snowflake, dbt).
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Customer-focused, ownership-driven mindset with willingness to travel to clients.

Aufgaben

• Take ownership for projects end to end from scoping to delivery of measurable outcomes.
• Design data architectures for batch and streaming workloads at varying scales.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Build Python ETL/ELT pipelines orchestrated by Airflow, Dagster or Prefect.
• Work with data lake technologies and optimize data ware-/lakehouses.
• Model and store data across SQL and NoSQL databases, optimizing performance and costs.
• Create web APIs with FastAPI/Flask and document with OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Automate deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes).

What you’ll do as part of our cloud- and data engineering team:

• Take ownership for projects end to end: From scoping to stakeholder alignment and the delivery of measurable outcomes
• Design data architectures for batch and streaming workloads, both at small and big data scales
• Provision and manage the underlying cloud infrastructure to support those architectures on providers such as AWS,Azureor GCP
• Building Python ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestrated with Airflow,Dagster, or Prefect.
• Work with data lake technologies andoptimize(OLAP) data ware-/lakehouses
• Model and store data across SQL and NoSQL databases, as well asoptimizingperformance and costs
• Create web APIs with popular Python frameworks (e.g.,FastAPI and Flask) and describe them using standards likeOpenAPI/Swagger
• Automate deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code and container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetesor OpenShift

Who you are

• A passionate data engineer who loves being at the forefront of modern, AI-driven technology, but also cares about the engineering craftmanship.
• Relevant hands‑on experience with a cloud hyperscaler (preferably AWS,Azure or GCP).
• Preferably experience building production‑grade software.
• Python development with idiomatic and well‑tested code.
• Skilled in performance tuning and optimization of relational databases (e.g., through indexing,shardingor partitioning).
• Experienced with data workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow,Dagsteror Prefect).
• Competent with large‑scale data processing and modern analytics stacks (e.g., Apache Spark, Snowflake,dbt or similar technologies).
• Proficient with containerization and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes or similar technologies).
• Excellent German language skills (C1) and conversational English skills
• Customer‑centric, results‑driven, and willing to occasionally travel to clients.
