Datacentre People are working with a data centre colocation owner and operator in Berlin, Germany, looking for a Site Manager to oversee their data centre operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service levels, promoting a culture of service excellence and best practices.
• Supervise facility management activities, including operation and maintenance.
• Optimize Site PUE and space utilization in collaboration with Capacity Management.
• Support commissioning and hand‑over of new data centres and infrastructure projects.
• Provide monthly financial reporting and commentary in coordination with Finance.
• Coordinate demand‑side requests with supply‑side teams.
• Collaborate with Operations stakeholders to shape operational strategies for data centre sites.
• Evaluate feasibility and strategic equipment allocation across multiple locations.
• Conduct financial analysis for efficient resource allocation and cost‑effectiveness.
• Manage on‑site customer service teams and develop the organizational site structure.

Qualifications

• Manage operational staff, work plans, and quality execution.
• Proficient in electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure knowledge for high‑available data centres (generators, UPS, HV/LV transformers, chillers, adiabatic systems).
• Familiarity with building management, fire prevention, and security systems.
• Experience in incident management, asset management, and monitoring systems.
• Background in high‑available, fault‑tన్ tolerant business environments.
• Skilled in supplier management, compliance, auditing, and documentation.
• Strong financial acumen for budgeting, monitoring actuals, and forecasting.
• Degree in electrical, mechanical, or infrastructure technologies with at least 5 years of experience.
• German language proficiency.
