Role Purpose

Reporting to the Principal Data Analyst, the Senior Data Analyst is a senior role in the Data, AI & Advanced Analytics Team.

Job Role Responsibilities

• Understand the vision of the business and translate it into understandable requirements for the data engineers.
• Interact with business users, subject matter experts, project management, technical development, quality assurance, and end users.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Assist in forecasting and predictive modelling to support strategic planning.
• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and data queries.
• Understand and document complex business processes in an environment with many Enterprise Applications used across various sectors.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive role clarity and effective cross-team collaboration.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Analysis focusing on analytics solutions delivery.
• Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to benefit customers.
• Thought leader with executive presence, exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills. Strong communication and storytelling skills with data.

Technical

• Strong understanding of Business Intelligence concepts such as data warehouse, data platform, reports and dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure artifacts related to Data & AI – Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Server, Azure Analysis Services, Power BI and Azure Data Lake.
• Experience with relational database servers: Oracle and SQL Server.
• Proven ability to capture customer requirements and map them to enterprise systems.
• Experience in data conversions and master data management – defining, testing and troubleshooting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne/Oracle EBS to third‑party system interfaces.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, finance or equivalent education and experience may be substituted for a degree.

10+ years of experience in a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP or Oracle EBS environment working in finance, capital asset management or procurement modules.
