The School Age Center (SAC) in Baumholder, Germany is seeking a qualified candidate with a bachelor’s or advanced degree in child development or related fields to support youth programs and operations. Experience must include group work with children/youth and knowledge of development theories.

Two-page resume is requested. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of program operations, budgeting, and administrative tasks relevant to CYS facilities.

• The education must have been in child development, early childhood education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position.
• For Youth Facilities/School-Age facilities, the education must have been in youth development, youth administration or related fields.

This position is located at the School Age Center (SAC) in Baumholder, Germany.

Morale Welfare and Recreation Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week:

• First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees)
• Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees)

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in child development, early childhood education, elementary or secondary education, home economics, special education, or other fields appropriate to the position.

• For positions in Child Development Facilities: The education must have been in child development, early childhood education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science.
• For positions in Youth Facilities: The education must have been in youth development, youth administration, secondary education, home economics, physical education, elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science.
• For positions in School-Age facilities, the education must have been in any of the fields above.

AND

Experience:

Candidate must also possess all of the following:

• Minimum of 24 months experience working in group programs with children/youth as well as demonstrated knowledge in theories and principals of child/youth development, which must include 12 months of demonstrated experience in managing an entire cycle of operation of a CYS facility to include budgeting …
