As a CVE Professional (f/m/d), you will take ownership of increasing product value while reducing costs in a highly competitive and cost-driven environment. You identify areas for improvement, lead process optimization initiatives, calculate best cost and value positions, and ensure full transparency across product life cycles. By applying Bottom-up Cost Value Engineering approaches, you will define cost optimization targets for products and systems, evaluate alternative technical options, and contribute to the most cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive process optimization activities and set cost and value targets across products and systems.
• Apply CVE methodologies to calculate costs at system, component, and function levels for technologies like plastics, metals, machined parts, casting, electronics, assembly processes, and additive manufacturing.
• Evaluate the cost impact of technical alternatives and propose feasible, value-adding solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate with other CVE engineers or customer stakeholders.
• Establish a holistic, innovative CVE organizational structure and enhance its value for competitiveness.
• Ensure strict adherence to Siemens engineering policies and procedures.

You excel in

• Education
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience & Skills
• Extensive experience in project execution within CVE or cost-driven product environments.
• Deep knowledge of engineering principles, mechanical drawings, 3D models, customer requirements specifications, and office tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.
• Expertise in at least one of the following domains: automation & drive, control & protection, signaling & high voltage, electronic products, electrical automation, fire safety, energy distribution, cables, switchboards, or PCB manufacturing.
• You can calculate detailed cost of at least one of the mentioned relevant technologies like: plastics, sheet metal, machines parts, PCBA, casting, final assembly, etc..
• Ways of working
• Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills, with an innovative and strategic mindset.
• Willingness to travel globally, including India and China.
• Languages
• Excellent English skills for internal and external communication.
