Harper is seeking a dedicated account manager for commercial lines with 2+ years in a retail agency or brokerage. You will issue COIs, process endorsements, and ensure policy documentation is accurate while maintaining organized client records.
You will collaborate with underwriters and producers on renewals and new business. This role supports a high-volume book, requires strong communication, and welcomes bilingual Spanish candidates.
Manage multiple commercial accounts simultaneously — track renewals, open items, and client follow-ups across your full book
Issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and handle endorsement requests accurately and quickly
Review policies for accuracy at issuance; catch and correct errors before they reach the client
Maintain clean, complete account records in the agency management system
Coordinate with producers on renewals, remarketing, and new business support
Flag recurring carrier or process issues so they get fixed upstream
You have 2+ years of account management experience at a retail commercial lines agency or brokerage
You’ve worked commercial P&C lines: GL, BOP, WC, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, and related coverages
You’ve issued COIs, processed endorsements, and managed policy documentation hands-on
You’re comfortable working directly with underwriters — following up, negotiating, escalating when needed
You hold an active P&C license (or can obtain one quickly)
You’re detail-oriented and accurate even when the volume is high
2+ years of commercial lines account management at a retail agency or independent
Strong communication skills — clear, professional, and patient
Ability to manage a high-volume book without dropping items
Commercial lines experience is required; we are not able to consider candidates with exclusively personal lines backgrounds
Experience with specialty or hard-to-place markets
Familiarity with agency management systems (AMS360, Applied Epic, or similar)
