In this position, we will train you to provide operational support to our Iceland department's customer service team for our scheduled services to and from Iceland and the Faroe Islands. You will report to the Manager Iceland Services and work in a small team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independent and collaborative management of import and export orders, including customs clearance (T1, change of custodian, and ideally Carnet A.T.A., fiscal representation, ATLAS if applicable)
  • Coordination of transport logistics, including pre- and post-carriage, as well as FCL and LCL storage for both dry and temperature-controlled goods
  • Handling of bookings, invoicing, and preparation of quotations
  • Preparation of unloading lists and manifests
  • Registration of catch certificates
  • Comprehensive documentation management
  • Providing professional support and advice to business and private customers
  • Effective communication and coordination with authorities, terminals, and business partners
Qualifications:
  • Completed vocational training as a Shipping Clerk or Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk (m/f/d), or a comparable qualification
  • Ideally at least 2 years of professional experience in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or transport
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Fluency in German and good command of written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of dbh software (ALPO) and SAP considered an advantage
  • Strong customer service orientation, high level of self-motivation, and proven ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve shared company objectives
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset
