JDL Recruitment are excited to be partnering with a fast growing Data Centre Developer, who are looking to expand the team with a Country Manager in Frankfurt, Germany.

Available on a German working contract, requiring German language proficiency and local market knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all in-country data centre development and construction activities from site acquisition to commissioning.
  • Manage local project teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to drive project execution.
  • Oversee planning, permitting, and regulatory processes in coordination with local authorities.
  • Coordinate design development with global engineering teams, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and budget against project milestones.
  • Manage procurement activities for contractors, materials, and long-lead equipment.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and cost certainty.
  • Support utility engagement, including power, fibre, and water infrastructure connections.
  • Provide regular executive reporting on progress, risks, and commercial status.
  • Oversee commissioning activities and ensure smooth handover to operations teams.
Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience in data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure development/construction.
  • Strong leadership background managing cross-functional teams and major capital projects.
  • Experience with planning processes, permitting, and local regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of MEP, critical systems, and construction delivery methodologies.
  • Proven commercial acumen, including contract negotiation and budget ownership.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
