idealo is seeking a full-time Controller:in Tech & FinOps in Berlin to partner with Product and Tech on financial planning, cost transparency, and decision support.

You will translate cloud and AI spend into actionable insights, build KPIs, and support the CFO and executive team with management reporting. This role blends finance, product, and technology to optimize investments and efficiency.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience in controlling, finance business partnering, or financial analysis.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Strong numerical skills and ability to explain financial, operational, and technical relationships clearly.
• Experience developing KPIs, profitability analyses, investment calculations, and scenario analyses.
• Fluent German and English.

Aufgaben

• Provide end-to-end finance business partnering for Product and Tech, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial control.

• Translate technical topics into financial decision support.

About the Role

As a full-time Controller:in Tech & FinOps at idealo, you will act as a finance business partner for the Product and Tech organization. The role exists to make investment activity, technical usage, and cloud and AI costs transparent so that decisions are based on reliable financial analysis. You will work at the intersection of Finance, Product, and Tech, helping shape idealo’s FinOps approach. In close collaboration with Product, Platform, Engineering, Operations, the CFO, and the Executive Team, you will translate technical topics into financial insights and support strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end finance business partnering for Product and Tech, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial control.
• Build meaningful KPIs, reports, forecasts, and business cases.

• Manage and optimize AWS, cloud, and AI costs through cost allocation, forecasting, and management reporting.
