Job summary

Centre People Appointments seeks a Controller, Business Planning Manager to join in Frankfurt am Main or Düsseldorf. The role oversees finance, accounting, planning and administrative operations including budgeting, financial reporting, closing processes and compliance activities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in finance management and strong knowledge of German and international accounting standards (HGB, IFRS). English fluency required; Japanese preferred; German language is a plus.

• Experience in statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit coordination.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Fluent business English; Japanese language proficiency preferred; German language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of the annual budget and mid-term planning.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate accruals and journal entries.
• Monitor budget deviations against the business plan with the MD.
• Manage monthly and yearly results and provide detailed analyses.
• Create monthly flash reports with rolling forecasts.
• Support Group CFO during annual financial audit and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Support MD during the annual ISO audit.

Job description

An international company is seeking a Controller, Business Planning Manager to join its team in Frankfurt am Main or Düsseldorf.

This role will oversee finance, accounting, planning and administrative operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, closing processes and compliance activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in finance management, accounting and controlling, with knowledge of German and international accounting standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Leading the preparation of the company annual budget and planning followed by revision as well as mid‑term planning
• Overseeing month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring accruals and journal entries are accurate and timely
• Controlling the budget deviation against the original business plan by liaising with Managing Director
• Responsible for managing monthly &/ yearly results within the company
• Creation of monthly flash reports with detailed analysis followed by rolling forecasts
• Support of Group CFO during the annual financial audit and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting obligations
• Support of Managing Director during the annual ISO audit

Ideal Candidate
