About this position
At heyData, we make compliance feel simple. Our all-in-one platform helps companies automate GDPR, EU AI Act, NIS2, ISO 27001 and more – fast, easy, and always up-to-date. We’re growing quickly in DACH and across Europe, and we’re looking for a Content & Social Media Manager who can turn complex regulatory topics into content people actually want to read, watch, and share. If you love driving content strategyandyou’re comfortable creating video and being on camera, this role is for you.
Your mission
Content strategy & editorial ownership
- Own heyData’s content roadmap across formats and channels (organic social, blog, webinars, video).
- Build and manage the editorial calendar end-to-end: ideation, planning, production, publishing, and evaluation. - Translate product updates, regulatory changes, and market insights into clear content themes and high-impact organic campaigns.
Social media leadership (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube)
- Lead our social presence with a consistent voice and strong storytelling.
- Create content that educates, builds trust, and supports demand generation.
- Together with our designer team, shape channel-specific formats and series (e.g., LinkedIn carousels, reels, short explainers, YouTube deep dives).
- Engage with our audience and grow reach, followers, and community quality.
Video content & on-camera presence
- Plan, script, and produce video content (short-form, explainers, product clips, thought‑leadership formats) together with our designer team.
- Collaborate with internal and external experts to turn compliance into simple, human, engaging stories.
Performance & optimization
- Track KPIs across content and social (reach, engagement, CTR, leads).
- Run experiments with hooks, formats, angles, and cadence to learn fast and improve continuously.
- Create monthly/quarterly reports for the leadership team and help refine positioning and messaging.
What we are looking for?
- 2+ years of experience in content marketing and/or social media in a B2B setting (Experience in SaaS a plus).
- A strong editorial brain: you know what makes content useful, clear, and shareable.
- You can simplify complex topics without losing accuracy.
- Hands‑on video mindset: scripting, basic production, working with tools/partners – and you’re comfortable on camera
- Structured and proactive: you plan well, execute fast, and keep multiple content threads moving.
- Adaptable, driven, and hungry to grow with a scale‑up team.
- Fluent in German and English.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SEO/AIO, Thought Leadership, and/or demand generation.
- Editing skills in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Canva.
- A feel for founder/SME‑led content and personal‑brand style storytelling.
