Scalefree is an IT consulting company focused on Data Vault 2, Big Data technologies, cloud solutions from Snowflake and AWS, and Salesforce integration. We are seeking a data engineer to join our international team in Cologne or Hanover.

You will design modern data platforms, build dbt-driven pipelines, and collaborate with clients to transform their data architectures. Strong dbt experience and German/English skills at B2 level are required. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or equivalent
• Solid practical experience working with dbt is mandatory for this role
• Software engineering background and knowledge in databases and SQL or Python
• Confident appearance with ability to work customer- and solution-oriented
• Analytical thinking and enthusiasm for Big Data topics
• Willingness to take on responsibility and develop with the team
• Occasional travel and flexibility with time
• Good written and spoken German and English (at least B2)

Aufgaben

• End-to-End Support: guide customers from requirements analysis, design, and implementation to operation of modern Data Platform Solutions with a focus on data transformations
• Solution Development: build scalable data pipelines and model data structures using dbt within interdisciplinary teams on international projects
• Data Optimization: improve data acquisition and modeling, leveraging Data Vault 2.0 and dbt
• Tool Integration: help customers build modern data architectures using Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery) and orchestrate dbt pipelines

Flexible Location: This position can be based either in our office in Hanover or in Cologne.

Your mission

• End-to-End Support: Guiding our customers from requirements analysis, design, and implementation to the professional operation of modern Data Platform Solutions, with a strong focus on data transformations.
• Solution Development: Building scalable data pipelines and modeling data structures using dbt within interdisciplinary teams on international projects.
• Data Optimization: Enhancing information acquisition and data modeling in our customers' organizations, particularly utilizing the Data Vault 2.0 methodology and dbt (data build tool).
• Tool Integration: Supporting companies in building modern data architectures, utilizing Cloud Data Warehouses (such as Snowflake or BigQuery), and orchestrating dbt pipelines.

What We Are Looking For
