Job summary

Exyte is seeking a Construction Manager Mechanical to lead high-tech mechanical installations in data center projects. You will manage EPC sub-projects, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure on-time delivery with top quality across demanding environments.

The role requires on-site work, travel within the D-A-CH region, and fluency in German with strong English communication. A master craftsman or degree in building services/mechanical engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master craftsman or technician or an engineering degree in building services or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in construction management or supervision of mechanical systems, ideally in industrial projects.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel within the D-A-CH region and to work on-site during project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Construction management of high-tech mechanical installations (MEP).
• Ensure that construction projects are carried out according to schedule and with high quality.

• Meetings and correspondence with subcontractors as well as technical contact for customers.

• Conducting site inspections and acceptance tests.
• Recording defects and tracking defect resolution progress.
• Measurement creation and review of submitted subcontractor documentation.

Show Your Expertise

• Relevant qualification in construction (e.g., master craftsman/technician (m/f/d)) or a degree in building services engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in construction management or supervision of mechanical systems, ideally in industrial or plant construction projects
• Knowledge of building codes, local regulations, and standards is an advantage
• Willingness to travel within the D-A-CH region and to work on-site during project assignments
• Intercultural competence, team spirit, and an independent working style
• Very good German and good English language skills for communication with international and local stakeholders
• Valid German driver’s license Class B
