Job summary

GetYourGuide is seeking a Consolidation Manager to join our Group Reporting team in Berlin. You will consolidate Group financials under IFRS and German GAAP, driving improvements in month-end close and automation, and coordinate capitalization of intangibles.

The role requires 5+ years in finance, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English; German is a plus. Hybrid work model with global collaboration opportunities and growth support are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in the finance department of a large company

• Strong English skills; German language is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel; PowerBI and SQL preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and consolidate the Group financials under IFRS and German GAAP
• Drive improvement of month-end close processes, focusing on automation and standardization
• Coordinate capitalization of internally generated intangibles, including amortization and impairment
• Own Group-level analytical reconciliations and variance analysis for interim and annual statements

Our Group Reporting team is dedicated to delivering high-quality financial information to internal and external stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making. As Consolidation Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellence in consolidation and reporting.

Your mission

• Accurately prepare and consolidate the Group financials in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP, serving as the primary point of contact for Group month-end-close topics with internal stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement of the Group month-end close processes and control environment, focusing on automation and standardization to ensure effective and efficient system utilization.
• Lead the coordination of stakeholders for the capitalization of internally generated intangibles, ensuring precise measurement, amortization, and impairment.
• Own Group-level analytical reconciliations and variance analysis to support the timely and accurate drafting of interim and annual financial statements.

Your toolkit

• Educational Foundation: preferably hold a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA) or an equivalent master's degree
• Financial Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the finance department of a large company, ideally within the e-commerce sector.
• Regulatory Know-How: Strong knowledge of IFRS, familiarity with accounting for intangible assets and German GAAP is advantageous.
• Analytical skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, preferably with experience in PowerBI and SQL for data management and querying.
• Language Prowess: Excellent English skills are a must, and German language skills are a valuable asset.
• Systems knowledge: Proficiency using SAP or other large ERP system, experience with a consolidation system is advantageous.
• Work Ethic: Be an independent and structured worker while embracing teamwork and displaying reliable time management.
