Here you will develop deep learning methods that improve the evaluation of data from state‑of‑the‑art underwater sensors, as well as generative models for the synthesis of sonar data in order to optimise the training process. You will also be able to test the methods you have developed in a practical environment as part of measurement campaigns. Results from this work will also be integrated into a maritime situational awareness system, ensuring important results are easily available to end users – a major step forward in maritime security.
