Zusammenfassung

DATA4 is seeking a Commissioning Manager in Germany to oversee commissioning for data center projects, coordinating HVAC, electrical and BMS aspects with PMs, engineers, contractors and vendors.

You will develop commissioning plans, conduct site inspections, run functional tests, and document performance while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This role emphasizes process optimization and hands-on guidance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Languages: English fluent, German intermediate.

Aufgaben

• Assist in implementing the commissioning strategy at DATA4.
• Develop and implement commissioning plans, protocols, and schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct site inspections and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning reports and system performance documentation.
• Train and support operations staff on system functionality and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Represent DATA4 in external project meetings and with vendors, consultants, and final customers.
• Identify improvements in data center mechanical systems and processes.
• Support new technologies and best practices that improve reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Analyze performance data and metrics for optimization.
• Document operating-level processes and describe digital needs and priorities.
• Establish and execute end-to-end testing and pilot scenarios.
• Track defects through resolution and communicate process needs to the Solution Manager.
• Respect and enforce health and safety, environmental, information security, and energy policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Several years of experience in commissioning management, preferably in data center or critical facility environments
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems in data centers
• Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations related to data center operations
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Languages: English - fluent, German - intermediate level
