g2 Recruitment is seeking a Commissioning Lead to oversee the commissioning of mission-critical MEP systems within a live data centre construction programme, ensuring safety, quality, and operational readiness.

You will lead L1–L5 tests, develop and maintain the commissioning schedule, coordinate across subcontractors, vendors and OEMs, and review documentation to ensure on-time handover.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Lead/Manager on data centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of L1–L5 commissioning processes.
• Experience with MEP systems: UPS, generators, cooling and BMS/controls.
• Fluent English; German helpful but not required.

The Commissioning Lead will oversee the commissioning process for mission-critical MEP systems within a live data centre construction programme, managing Level 1–5 commissioning activities, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, and ensuring systems are handed over safely, on schedule, and to the client's operational readiness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full commissioning process (L1–L5) for mechanical, electrical, and controls systems within the data centre facility
• Develop and maintain the commissioning schedule in coordination with the wider project programme
• Coordinate commissioning activities across multiple subcontractors, vendors, and OEMs
• Review and approve commissioning documentation, method statements, and test procedures
• Manage Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and support Level 5 (Integrated Systems Test) execution

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Lead/Manager on data centre construction projects (mission-critical environments essential)
• Strong working knowledge of L1–L5 commissioning processes
• Experience with MEP systems: UPS, generators, cooling (CRAH/chillers), electrical switchgear, BMS/controls
• Fluent English (written and spoken) – essential
• German language skills advantageous but not required
