Screwfix Direct is seeking a commercially minded finance professional to own store network reporting and KPI analysis. You will model targets from budgeting through to monthly performance review, collaborating with Retail Finance Business Partners and auditors on IFRS impairment tests.
The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, automation of routine tasks, and driving continuous improvement within the Finance function. Hybrid working with flexible hours is provided.
Ownership of individual store sales targets for the year from principle setting to modelling and approval by the Retail Regional and Area Managers. This will include reconciliation to overall Budget and maintenance of targets within BI. Ownership of reporting on Store Support Programme from identifying stores to production of monthly KPI report and trend analysis. Working closely with the Retail Finance Business Partners to understand performance drivers. Responsible for preparation and delivery of the year end impairment test working alongside colleagues within Kingfisher, Operational Finance and the auditors to ensure this test is compliant with IFRS standards. Preparation of month end preparation and reconciliation of Controllable costs, effectively communicating actual performance v Budget to key stakeholders and flagging any risksor opportunities. Ad hoc project work as is required by the business to deliver enhanced performance across the store network. Play an active part in the continuous improvement of both the Retail Finance, and overall Screwfix Finance function. Drive towards simplification and automation of routine activity always challenging the status quo.
