Zusammenfassung

Clera is seeking a Cloud / DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure powering a growing AI platform in Berlin. You’ll work with software and ML teams, influencing architecture and taking end-to-end responsibility for a modern Azure-based stack.

You’ll design and operate secure, scalable Azure infra, implement IaC with Terraform or Bicep, deploy Docker and Kubernetes/AKS clusters, and shape CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps. Hybrid work in Berlin.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
• Strong production experience with Microsoft Azure across architecture, deployment, networking, identity, and security.
• Solid Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Bicep in production environments.
• Production experience deploying and operating Docker and Kubernetes/AKS clusters.
• End-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure, including architecture decisions.

About the Role

We're looking for a Cloud / DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure powering a growing AI platform. Working closely with software and ML engineers, you'll have real architectural influence and end-to-end responsibility for a modern Azure-based stack.

What You'll Do

• Design and operate secure, scalable, highly available Azure infrastructure spanning compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform services.

• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep, ensuring consistent and repeatable deployments.

• Deploy and manage Docker and Kubernetes/AKS environments, including scaling, networking, upgrades, security hardening, and production troubleshooting.

• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms for reliable software delivery.

• Establish cloud security, observability, and reliability practices covering IAM, secrets management, monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery.

• Partner with engineering and ML teams to support AI/ML workloads and optimise cloud performance and cost.

• Own infrastructure initiatives end-to-end and contribute to architecture decisions and incident response.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE.

• Strong production experience with Microsoft Azure across architecture, deployment, networking, identity, and security.

• Solid Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Bicep in production environments.

• Production experience deploying and operating Docker and Kubernetes/AKS clusters.

• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure, including architecture decisions — not just an operations or contributor role.

• Background at a large-scale technology or enterprise organisation, with comfort translating that experience into a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

• Strong grasp of cloud security (IAM, secrets management), observability, reliability, and automation.

• Solid Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python, or equivalent).

• Experience with GitOps, Helm, Argo CD, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry is a plus.

• Familiarity with AI/ML or GPU-based workloads, or multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP alongside Azure), is a bonus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: €75,000 – €95,000 annually.

• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

Hybrid — primary location is Berlin, Germany. Remote work within Germany is also supported.
