Job summary

Magellan Health in Stuttgart, Germany seeks a Clinical Supervisor for the ASACS program to oversee the clinical quality of adolescent counseling services. You will mentor counselors, coordinate high-risk decisions, and review records for compliance.

The role requires a Master’s in Counseling or Social Work, a valid counseling license, and several years of direct adolescent AOD prevention/treatment experience. Excellent benefits and a competitive salary accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited university (CACREP accreditation required for counseling programs).
• Drug and Alcohol Certification (MRAS, CSAC, CAP, etc).
• Licensed as an independent level provider: LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, PhD psychologist, etc.
• 2 years of supervised post graduate counseling experience with adolescents.
• 3 additional years (total 5 years) direct adolescent AOD prevention and treatment experience.
• 2 years of clinical experience as an ASACS Counselor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall quality of clinical care provided by counselors.
• Mentor counselors about clinical care for referred adolescents.
• Coordinate with counselors on high-risk decision making.
• Review PCOMS data and provide mentorship as needed.
• Evaluate factors affecting case management and streamline processes.
• Review client records for ASACS SOP compliance.
• Conduct clinical record reviews during on-site and virtual visits.
• Document reviews and provide quarterly summary of findings.
• Review referral and treatment logs for accuracy and completeness.
• Review initial assessment and ISP for thoroughness and completeness.

Job description

Responsible for the overall quality of clinical care provided by the counselors.

• Routinely mentors and provides guidance to Counselors about clinical care and approaches for all referred adolescents.
• Coordinates with Counselors with all decision making related to high-risk situations.
• Reviews PCOMS data for each counselor and provides consultation/mentorship as needed.
• Evaluates factors that may impact case management and implements a plan to streamline the process.
• Reviews all aspects of the client records to ensure compliance with ASACS SOP.
• Conducts clinical record reviews during on-site and virtual visits: ensures completion of peer reviews.
• Documents reviews, maintains file copies, and provides summary of findings in quarterly report.
• Reviews referral and treatment log for accuracy and completeness.
• Reviews initial multi-dimensional assessment and clinical impression for thoroughness and completeness; reviews written client individual service plan (ISP).
• Reviews progress notes for relevance to the multidimensional assessment, master problem index, and ISP.

Other Job Requirements

3 additional years (for a total of 5 years) direct adolescent AOD prevention and treatment experience.
