Rhenus Lub is seeking a Laboratory Chemical Technician to reliably execute and document laboratory developments, investigations, and testing in oils. You will ensure high product and raw material quality and support pilot batches in production.

The role requires completed chemical laboratory technician training or an equivalent qualification, with IT affinity and strong Excel skills. Experience in formulation or blending systems is advantageous.

• Plan and execute demanding development tasks in collaboration with the team.
• Prepare, calculate, execute and evaluate complex experiments for revisions and new products.

• Plan and support pilot batches in production.
• Document, present and archive test results in an audit-proof manner.
• Support quality, environmental, and health & safety requirements in the lab.

Laboratory Chemical Technician (m/f/d)

The objective of the role is the reliable execution and documentation of laboratory-based developments, investigations and testing in the field of oils, as well as ensuring a consistently high quality of products and raw materials.

• Technical collaboration in the planning and implementation of demanding development tasks
• Independent preparation, calculation, execution and evaluation of complex experiments within the scope of product revisions, product optimisations and new product developments
• Creation and maintenance of formulations in the blending system
• Planning, monitoring and support of pilot batches in production
• Execution and technical evaluation of tests on novel and alternative raw material samples
• Conducting investigations on service samples in the field of nwmK in cases of representation
• Comprehensive documentation, clear presentation and audit-proof archiving of test and examination results
• Assumption of organisational and administrative tasks within the area of responsibility
• Collaboration on the laboratory-side implementation and compliance with the requirements of quality and environmental management as well as occupational health and safety

• Successfully completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician (m/f/d) or a comparable chemical-technical qualification
• Ideally initial professional experience in product development, formulation or application technology
• Previous knowledge in the field of neat cutting oils is an advantage
• Good chemical and technical understanding as well as an interest in working on complex and interdisciplinary issues
• Strong affinity for IT as well as very good knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience in working with formulation, blending or comparable systems is an advantage
• Secure handling, documentation, and evaluation of test and examination results
