aevoloop in Leipzig seeks a hands-on analytics specialist to drive instrumental and wet-chemical analyses for next-generation circular plastics.
You will support bench and pilot-scale polycondensation syntheses, maintain lab operations, calibrate instruments, and document data meticulously to ensure GLP-compliant results.
Your mission Join aevoloop, a deep-tech startup in Leipzig, where we are pioneering the next generation of circular plastics.
You are the analytical core of our lab. You routinely perform instrumental and wet-chemical analyses to precisely characterisze our next-generation materials (e.g., NMR, IR spectroscopy, DSC, titrations).
You support syntheses (specifically polycondensations) on a bench and pilot scale, reliably and accurately executing reactions according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
You ensure smooth lab operations. This includes preparing and maintaining glassware, sample preparation, material drying, and general lab organization.
You ensure our measurement data is rock-solid. This includes regular calibration of analytical instruments, maintaining detailed lab journals, and assisting in drafting clear SOPs.
You maintain a safe, high-standard working environment (GLP) and ensure analytical equipment is always ready for the next run.
Successfully completed vocational training as a CTA (Chemical Technical Assistant), Chemielaborant, or a similar technical background. Academic degrees or Techniker qualifications are considered, but this is a hands-on technical role where practical bench experience is our top priority.
Strong practical experience in general instrumental and wet-chemical analytics (especially NMR, IR, DSC, titration). Experience in specialized polymer testing (e.g., MFR/MFI, tensile testing) or prior experience in a plastics laboratory is a major plus!
Experience in carrying out organic syntheses safely according to protocol (SOPs). Specialized knowledge of polymers or reactors is advantageous, but not mandatory—we are happy to train you.
You feel "at home" in the lab. You are confident operating analytical instruments, preparing samples, and performing routine instrument calibrations.
You bring a "maker" mentality. You are detail-oriented, reliable, and enjoy the dynamic, collaborative energy of a scaling startup.
Working knowledge of English (sufficient for technical documentation and day-to-day team communication) is required. German is a plus, but not necessary.
Help redesign plastics for a truly circular economy.
Flat hierarchies, fast decisions and early responsibility as we scale.
Join a team of curious minds that challenge each other, collaborate openly and celebrate progress together.
Steep learning curves, regular feedback and room to grow with the company.
