Zusammenfassung

TV Rheinland Solutions is seeking experienced CAT 2 inspectors to join our Industrial team for inspection and certification of pressurised static equipment, vessels, tanks and piping. You will reviewWSEs, perform NDT, coordinate external providers and contribute to RBI studies.

The role requires an HNC/degree in mechanical engineering, Incorporated Engineer status or progress toward it, and UKAS RG 2 competence, with strong attention to detail and clear communication.

Qualifikationen

• Have an HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and UKAS RG 2 competence for in-service inspection of pressure systems.
• Hold or be working towards Incorporated Engineer status and understand pressure equipment fabrication and repair.
• Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with clients and teammates.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced CAT 2 inspectors to join our growing Industrial team to provide Inspection and Certification of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements.

• Prepare and review Written Schemes of Examination (WSE), define preparation requirements, and carry out examinations in accordance with these schemes.
• Perform simple NDT methods (e.g. ultrasonic thickness checks, magnetic particle and dye penetrant testing), coordinate external NDT providers for more extensive or specialist methods, assess deterioration, review design calculations, sentence defects, coordinate repairs, and prepare clear, illustrated reports.
• Participate in Risk Based Inspection (RBI) studies.

Requirements

• Have an HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and UKAS RG 2 competence for in-service inspection of pressure systems.
• Hold or be working towards Incorporated Engineer status.
• Have a mechanical engineering background with experience in the chemical and/or oil and gas sector.
• Understand fabrication and repair of pressure equipment as well as non‑destructive examination techniques.
• Communicate well in writing and verbally.
• Have a strong eye for detail.
• Follow procedures accurately.
• Understand engineering principles.
• Can make and defend difficult decisions.
• Work effectively with others.
• Preferably bring some people‑management experience.
• Must meet the UKAS definition for category 2 inspection engineers.
• Category 2. Incorporated Engineer as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g. appropriate HNC with relevant experience, (vocational qualification level 4) including at least 5 years experience within a relevant engineering discipline of which at least one year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated with the relevant field of inspection.
