We are looking for a highly motivated Carbon Portfolio Expert (f/d/m) to work closely with our Sales and Impact Team in a collaborative, fast‑moving, VC‑funded startup.

YOUR MISSION

• Lead pre‑ and post‑sales initiatives for large enterprise customers by shaping strategic portfolio narratives in close collaboration with CEEZER’s Carbon Market Experts, Solutions Consultants, and Account Executives.
• Translate buyer requirements into resilient carbon credit portfolios within CEEZER, integrating risk management, budget considerations, and operational structure to deliver actionable solutions.
• Function as an internal expert to advise on portfolio strategy and project selection with a focus on complex multi‑year portfolios.
• Build compelling portfolio narratives balancing quality requirements, risk aspects and cost that resonate with CEEZER’s enterprise customers.
• Liaise with the Impact team to ensure expert knowledge and to have an accurate understanding of the offered technologies the available supply.
• Work closely with Sales to align on buyer portfolio requirements and buyer‑facing materials for both pre‑and post‑sales activities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• 3+ years of experience in carbon markets or global carbon initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge about the dynamics and technicalities of the VCM, ideally with the knowledge of different technologies, project types and classification systems (e.g. Oxford principles).
• Familiarity with most important market frameworks (SBTi, IC‑VCM).
• Commercial awareness with proven ability to engage with commercial buyers at all levels, articulating how portfolio offerings align with their strategic and sustainability objectives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with effective internal and external communication, and the ability to craft well‑documented business cases.
• Curiosity and ability to create strong partnerships with internal and external partners, including at the executive level.
• Ability to shift priorities, juggle different requirements in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication abilities in English.
• A valid working permit in Germany.
