Zusammenfassung

Hug Engineering in Magdeburg seeks an experienced CAD design engineer to take mechanical responsibility for exhaust aftertreatment systems, delivering project layouts and production drawings.

You will be the CAD contact on Magdeburg projects, collaborate with steelwork suppliers, and support cross-functional teams across sales, PM, purchasing, quality and service.

Travel about 5% and contribute to product development while ensuring compliance with UL, ASME, DIN, ISO standards.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in CAD/ mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of CAD design experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software; Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Experience with steelwork design and welding constructions.
• German and English language skills; travel ~5%.

YOUR PROFILE

• Successfully completed degree as CAD/ mechanical engineer or comparable
• At least 5 years of professional experience as CAD design engineer
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software for mechanical design; experience in Autodesk Inventor is an advantage
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM and structured BOM management
• Relevant experience in steelwork design, in particular welding constructions
• High degree of autonomy and reliability
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Hands-on mentality and a structured and methodical way of working
• Good written and spoken skills in German and English, Italian or Dutch is an advantage
• Available to travel approximately 5%
