Job summary

Onken Offshore Contractors GmbH is seeking experienced Cable Technicians for freelance roles to support offshore wind and subsea cable projects.

You will assist in installation, jointing, termination, operate cable handling equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures on offshore assets.

Qualifications

• Relevant education is required for offshore roles.
• Full GWO’s certification is required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, jointing, and termination of subsea and topside power or fiber optic cables.
• Operate and maintain cable handling equipment, including tensioners, cable engines, carousels, and reels.
• Support mobilization and demobilization of cable spreads and associated equipment.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and cable reports as required.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with project procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and client representatives to ensure safe and successful offshore operations.
