EGYM Munich seeks a pragmatic, high-performing engineer to own real-time C++ software for fitness hardware, spanning UI to embedded logic. You will balance technical excellence with fast feature shipping in a collaborative, international team.

You will develop with Qt/QML, Docker, and CMake in a modern stack, contribute to architecture, testing, and deployment, and help push the Realm forward with AI-assisted development and strong quality standards.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of professional C++ development with production-level code
• Experience with Linux development, bash scripting, CMake, and build/CI tooling
• Knowledge of AI agentic development and using AI agents to assist with tasks

Join our Munich engineering team to develop real-time C++ software for fitness hardware that directly impacts thousands of users daily. You will take ownership of critical application components – from UI to embedded logic – where code quality directly affects user experience. Your daily workout

• Software Development: You develop high-quality software using C++ and additional technologies like Qt/QML, agentic AI, Docker, CMake or Conan

• Execution: You handle diverse technical responsibilities ranging from UI/business logic programming and architecture design to technology evaluation, testing, documentation, and deployment

• Customer Value Creation: You enhance the customer experience by delivering differentiating features for our smart fitness machines and ecosystem, in a Product Trio setup (Product, Design, Engineering)

• Cross-team Collaboration: You collaborate closely with other expert functions such as firmware engineering, sports science, Cloud and site reliability

• Knowledge Sharing: You share your technical expertise to support the growth of our Realm

• Innovation: You actively contribute to shaping our SW technology and boost the team’s productivity

Your fitness level

• C++ Expertise: You have 3+ years of professional C++ development with production-level code shipped to users

• Linux & Build Systems: You are proficient with Linux development, bash scripting, CMake, and build/CI tooling

• Agentic Development: You leverage AI agents (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) to bridge knowledge gaps and work efficiently with unfamiliar domains. You understand what tasks are good candidates for delegation to agents and when human judgment is needed

• Analytical Skills: You are able to break down complex problems, abstract key concepts, identify patterns, and understand underlying principles to derive effective solutions and make informed decisions.

• Software Design: You understand clean code principles, testing-first mindset, and can architect maintainable solutions for complex domains; experience with design patterns or domain-driven design is a plus

• Quality: You maintain high standards for code, documentation, and Git commits, ensuring every task includes appropriate testing

• Adaptability: You balance technical perfection with pragmatic, agile delivery and remain eager to learn new technologies

Your training goal for your first 6 months

• Ownership: You take shared ownership of the machine application, delivering product features while improving testability

• Service Support: You participate in the service duty rotation to solve real-world field issues in collaboration with our service team

• EGYM Knowledge: You familiarize yourself with the EGYM ecosystem and the role of the different teams in the software engineering department

• Team Integration: You become a fully integrated and respected member of the Machine Software domain and the wider engineering department
